I started with low fidelity mockups from Balsamiq. After reviewing and testing with the board and team members I moved to higher fidelity gray scale mockups. I typically like to work in grayscale mockups when there is no branding or color pallet established. This takes out the emotion and color biases and strictly focuses on the IA (Information Architecture).
